It’s install day!
I waited 6 weeks for my install appointment from Tuff Shed because that’s how much backyard sheds are in demand during this time! But they finally arrived and are gonna complete this build in 1 day- so let’s go!
Here’s a before and after of the space so far. Sold that kids playground real quick…
I really have to hand it to these install guys who knew what they were doing. My gut told me that I need concrete pavers below the building on the grass even though its not really necessary. The installer guy not only agreed with me, but accompanied me to Home Depot to grab the 65 pavers I need and recommended hardware cloth to the prevent any burrowing animals coming up from below. A mix-up required another team to come out later to install my transom windows along the top, but for the most part the building was done in a day.
The interior is basically the radiant barrier walls and the wood framing. I’m going to have the walls finished with dry wall but that will have to wait for a different hire and another day. You can see me starting to play with the flooring I picked out.
My She Shed backyard office is almost complete! So the ball is in my court now– gotta get the electrical and drywall installed. But it looks like I’ll be tackling the tasks of flooring, paint and baseboards on my own.
